2 arrested following fatal stabbing

2 people have been arrested in relation to the death of Chevy Davis and both have appeared in court.

36-year-old Robert Timothy Rapana has been charged with murder and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and Mary Tiri Togiaono has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder and wounding.

Chevy Midas Davis, aged 24 was stabbed to death at his cousin's 21st birthday in Otara early yesterday after a fight broke out over music.

Police have recovered a knife from an Otara address and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Rapana and Togiaono will reappear at the High Court in Auckland in February.
