2015 Tamararo kapa haka competition

By Rahia Timutimu

Scenes from this weekend the Karaitiana Tamararo kapa haka competition in Gisborne are now available online.

As the competition celebrates its 63rd anniversary, Kuini Moehau Reedy was also honoured for her passion and dedication to kapa haka and the Māori Language.

First place at this year’s Tamararo went to Whangarā mai Tawhiti.

On Sunday 20th September 2015, the above written article included the wording "the late" Kuini Moehau Reedy.  This was incorrect.

Māori Television apologises unreservedly to Nanny Kuini, her whānau, friends and loved ones.
