On Monday November 24, Henry Norton, who served with D Company passed away at the age of 92.
Norton embarked for war with the 14th Reinforcements.
In 2012 he attended the official events marking the closure of the 28th Māori Battalion Association in Wellington, accompanied by his wife, Gwen.
Norton's funeral service will be held tomorrow, Thursday November 27 at the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel in Christchurch at 1pm.
