All Blacks Sevens squad to play in Dubai announced

All Blacks Sevens coach, Gordon Tietjens has announced the twelve players who will be taking part in the first tournament of the 2015/16 HSBC Sevens World Series in Dubai.

The team is as follows:

Dylan Collier (Waikato)
Scott Curry (Capt) (Bay of Plenty)
Sam Dickson (Canterbury)
DJ Forbes (Counties Manukau)
Gillies Kaka (Hawke's Bay)
Tim Mikkelson (Waikato)
Declan O'Donnell (Waikato)
Lewis Ormond (Taranaki)
Augustine Pulu* (Counties Manukau)
Sherwin Stowers (Counties Manukau)
Regan Ware* (Waikato)
Joe Webber (Waikato)

Both Augustine Pulu and Regan Ware are the new faces added to the squad. Ngāi Tūhoe's Beaudein Waaka has been ruled out of Dubai and Cape Town after suffering a knee injury in training earlier this week. Gillies Kaka has stepped as a replacement for him.

The All Blacks Sevens are in in Pool C and will face France and Portugal before finishing the day against USA.

Friday 4 December – Pool Play:

7.58pm (5.58am Sat 5 Dec NZT) v USA
