Allan Bunting new Black Ferns Sevens Head Coach

Allan Bunting (pictured right) has been named the new Black Ferns Sevens Head Coach.

Bunting has held the assistant coach role to former Head Coach Sean Horan since 2012, and with the departure of Horan to pursue the Head Coach role for the All Blacks Sevens team, Bunting has now taken the head role.

Bunting attended Rotorua Boys’ High School, played NPC Rugby for Bay of Plenty for 8 seasons and in Japan for 3 years.

In Sevens, he played for Bay of Plenty and represented New Zealand from 2001 to 2004.

His new team won silver at the Rio Olympics earlier this year and have won three of the last four World Rugby Sevens Series titles.
