Gallery: Aquitania Luxford (Tai) still missing

Manawatu Police continue to seek assistance from the public to locate Aquitania Luxford, otherwise known as Tai.

This morning Police confirmed that Luxford is yet to be found.

The 73-year-old Palmerston North woman is Māori, approx 4'11", with salt and pepper hair.

It is unknown what clothing she may be wearing. She suffers from dementia and there are fears for her safety.

Tai was seen leaving Awapuni in Palmerston North on Thursday 25 February 2016. She was also seen on the same day at the BP service station in Bulls at about 12.30pm.

At the time, she was driving a Dark Grey 2008 Subaru Impreza station wagon registration EPG780, which has a large scratch and dent on the passenger rear door, drivers side.

Police say there has been no further sightings or bank transactions. There has also been three aerial searches over the last two days with no success.

Police say that the key to finding her may rest with the vehicle. They are urging the public to have a look if anyone sees a vehicle matching the description parked on the side of the road, maybe on a main highway, country side road or in a street.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact their nearest police station or call Palmerston North police on 06 351 3600.
