Berridge keeps his head up

Te Kāea sports reporter Tamati Tiananga is in America following the two New Zealand boxers who fought today in Pennsylvania.

He spoke with Ngāi Tahu’s, Rob Berridge in Bethlehem after the fight and while he says Berridge was disappointed, he has not given up and still intends to chase a chance of a world title fight.

Duco Events say they will look to keep Berridge active and another trip to America in three months’ time could be on the cards.

Berridge says, “there'll be no turning back and I would like to thank the many who supported me.”

Dean Lonergan says another fight is definitely in line for Berridge.

Joseph Parker won his fight and will now no doubt move him to a higher ranking.

He took time to praise fellow New Zealander Berridge for his efforts.
