Black Caps in World T20 Semi Final

The Black Caps are into the Semi Finals of the World Twenty20 tournament, beating Pakistan by 22 runs this morning.

The New Zealand side are unbeaten thus far in the competition, after beating the home side India and also Australia in Pool play last week.

The Black Caps chose to bat first, posting their highest total at a tournament. In the end they finished on 180.

Martin Guptill was to thank for scoring most of those runs, scoring 80 runs off 48 balls.

Despite Pakistan starting off strong, the NZ bowlers were too strong for them, in the end they finish short by 22.

New Zealand’s win means they have a guaranteed spot in the semi finals and remain unbeaten in their pool. Their last pool match is against Bangladesh on Monday.
