Black Sticks impress with another win

The Black Sticks Women have had another impressive win at the FIH World League Semi-Final as they take another step closer to qualifying for the 2016 Rio Olympics, beating India 5-0.

Gemma Flynn continued her fine form in the tenth minute.  In the second minute of the second quarter Olivia Merry found the back of the net.

Up two-nil at half time the Black Sticks' coach was still excepting more.

Coach Mark Mager says, "Look I thought our basic skill level was poor we missed too many traps, too many intercepts and we were making too many silly decisions and too many turnovers."

In the third, Gemma Flynn made it six goals for the tournament.  Pearce finished of the clash with two of her own making it 5-0.

Flynn says, "Yeah we knew the Indians would come out really tough at the beginning and it took us a while to get going I think basic skill error let us down a bit but we got the result in the end and that's the main thing."

The Black Sticks Women will face world No.2 Australia on Friday.
