The Vodafone Warriors arrived today at Ngāti Whātua o Ōrākei in the hope of further strengthening bonds before the 2014 NRL season officially kicks off.
The Chairman of Ngāti Whātua o Ōrākei, Matt Maihi was ecstatic at the arrival of the stars to his lands. He was also excited to show them all it had to offer.
Kevin Locke believes it has been an opportunity to strengthen bonds with English signing Sam Tompkins, which will hopefully pay dividends on the field as well.
Today’s occasion was seen to be a great opportunity for the team to spend quality time with one another. The team was very appreciative by the warm welcoming of the Ōrākei Marae.
