After 11 days New Zealand notched a credible 45 medals, including 14 gold’s, in the 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

However, Australia were too strong, the World champions winning against New Zealand by 18 points. 58 - 40 was the final score.
The New Zealand men’s hockey team missed out on a medal, losing to England in a shoot-out.
With the closing ceremony held today, the NZ camp will be thrilled, equalling their efforts in Manchester 12 years ago.
With the Commonwealth Games coming closer to home in 2018, expectations will be higher on the Gold Coast.
