Dance crew motivates youth to chase dreams

Heremia Tuiloma has dyslexia, but learning difficulties at school did not deter him from chasing his dream.

Mr Tuiloma has formed a dance crew which is currently visiting schools around Northland to help encourage youth to chase their dreams. He has returned home with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in acting from Toi Whakaari NZ.

This morning, they were at Te Mangonui o Wae and this afternoon at Panguru School.

Student, Mihirangi Pickering said, “I couldn't help but notice that our students sat still for the duration without moving because they were captivated by the dance and the message behind it. That's a great thing and it's amazing.”

Thursday was the final day of the ‘Movement to Inspire’ tour of Northland schools. The group plans to extend its performance to schools nationwide.
