Despite challenging defeat Tamati receives title shot

Charlene Watt of Incorporated Martial Arts took out this year's Princesses of Pain 56kg title for 2015 beating Tainui's Hera Tamati in the final.

Tamati's journey to compete at the Princesses of Pain has meant so much to her and her family from Tainui.  First up, she faced a current NZ champion and won by unanimous decision.

“All the girls are top fighters and I'm honoured to fight them, says Tamati.”

Despite a very challenging loss in the final against Charlene Watt, she aims to get straight back to training as she's just sealed a deal for a three-fight contract and a title shot in FXC.

This year's competition turned away many fighters so the whispers are to organise a day and night event, putting novice fighters during the day and professional fighters in the evening.
