A Māori doctor from the Far North has been honoured for his work in combating child poverty within the community.
However, Lance O'Sullivan (Te Rarawa) says although the Sir Owen Glen Inquiry into child abuse and domestic violence is at a critical crossroads after revelations became known about its patron, he will continue to stay with the programme.
