Dunne slams Australian Govt over its treatment of Kiwi detainees

Peter Dunne has slammed the Australian Government over its treatment of Kiwi detainees, saying,  "It offends our sense of justice."

The Minister of Internal Affairs made the comments on his weekly blog, Dunne Speaks, after a week of political positioning in Parliament.

MPs back have been going head-to-head over the issue.  Prime Minister John Key's comments caused female MPs to let their feet do the talking.

The MP for Te Tai Tokerau Kelvin Davis also took the issue to the PM.

The government is reiterating that this is a serious issue.  However, Dunne says it's a human rights issue.

A family of one detainee says it shouldn't be happening.

It's a waiting game to see if they will be deported back to New Zealand or remain in Australia.
