Fans to be refunded following Chris Brown cancellation

Chris Brown's promoters remain positive that an eventual tour in New Zealand will take place in the near future.

Castor & Ford released a statement today announcing that the superstar's concerts in both New Zealand and Australia this month will not be taking place.

Last week, New Zealand Immigration followed suit with Australian authorities denying Brown's visa application.  Labour MP Kelvin Davis first raised the issue saying Brown should not be allowed to enter New Zealand because of his conviction for an assault on former partner Rihanna and therefore believes Brown isn't a role model for young Māori.

However, the American superstar found support with Māori leaders who said they would welcome his visit as an ambassador for anti-domestic violence.

Full refunds will be available for those who bought tickets to his Auckland concert through Ticketmaster.
