Friends pay tribute to lost loved one at Raglan bridge

The death of 16-year-old Richard Keremeta who died tragically after an incident at the local hotspot in Raglan has shocked the community to its core. Police have not yet released the name of the boy, but it was disclosed by those who knew him.

Friends from Raglan Area School pay tribute through prayer.

The teen was described by his peers as the "Manu King", a term relating to his ability to do big water bombs.

It is understood the boy jumped from this side of the bridge and floated to this side of the bridge, but he then went missing underwater for 10-15 minutes.

The death of Keremeta has been referred to the Coroner.

Tonight, Te Kaharoa Marae in Aramiro await the arrival of Keremeta's body for final farewell.
