Hurricanes inspire young rugby fans in Hawke's Bay

The Hurricanes are in Hawke's Bay preparing for their big clash against the Highlanders tomorrow but today they went on a school visit to St Patrick's to hang out with their younger fans from the region.

Meeting their rugby heroes is a highlight in any kids' school day.

The players also know the importance of giving back, spending time with their fans both young and old.

Beauden Barrett says, "Always enjoy coming to school visits, it's always good fun, listen to the kids and hear their questions there's always a few curly ones in there."

Chris Eves says, "Jonah Lomu came to my school and I always looked up to him.  I loved the visits as a kid something you never forget and hopefully inspire the kids and it's something the kids won't forget."

Forget they won't, playing touch with the players was another bonus to the morning visit.

Beauden Barrett returns from his injury to lead the team tomorrow night in front of a packed crowd at McLeans Park.

The Beauden fan club though has no doubt who will win tomorrow night.
