Ioane helps to seal back-to-back Sevens titles for NZ

The All Black Sevens team have won back-to-back titles after a thrilling come back against Australia in the final of the World Sevens Series in Sydney.

It was once again the Ioane brothers who played a major role in snatching the victory in the dying seconds.

Elation erupts as Rieko Ioane steals the win from the Aussies.

In the final two minutes, the All Black Sevens team were down by 7 but Rieko scored not once but twice to claim back-to-back titles.

The Aussies came into the final as favourites on home soil and whilst under pressure initially, their defence held out.

The home team were rewarded with the first try not long after.

The Ioane brothers combined beautifully to level the scoreboard.

Both teams scored again to go into the break, 12-all.

In the second half, Australia hit back first. With only three minutes remaining they led, 24 - 17.

But just like his brother Akira's match-winning performance in the Wellington final last weekend, Rieko matched it with his two last minute tries.

The brothers return to New Zealand alongside Ardie Savea for Super 15 duties while the rest of the squad head to America for their next tournament in Las Vegas.
