Jarrad Hoeata furthers rugby career offshore

It won't be long before Jarrad steps across the globe to play out his rugby career offshore.

According to Jarrad Hoeata,“Not being able to play for the Māori All Blacks again, the Highlanders and the Naki is pretty tough, but heading over to Cardiff Blues, so looking forward to the next chapter.”

Jarrad has had many highlights in the last 10 years. His three tests for the All Blacks in 2011, being involved with the Māori All Blacks since 2007, and in particular the win over Ireland and England in 2010, but his first national side was the NZ Sevens team.

The talented lock has signed a three-year contract with the Cardiff Blues in Wales, and will depart straight after the Super season so he won't play for his beloved Naki side again.

Jarrad says, “I've been in the Highlanders for four years, the Naki for eight seasons, so I've grown pretty close to some of the guys and some of the management and coaches so it will be pretty sad leaving them behind.”

There's no doubt that his team mates will also be sad to see him go as well.
