Kaibosh programme feeds the hungry

One man's rubbish is another man's treasure.  That's exactly how the company, Kaibosh, survives, helping those going hungry in their local community.

25 local businesses donate food to Kaibosh every day. Today there's a mountain of white and Turkish bread to be had. Most of the food is usable, and only some of it isn't good enough for redistribution.

Groups like the Miramar Community Centre benefit from the work of Kaibosh. After picking their supplies, they can redistribute them to their clients most in need.

Even local Māori here in Wellington are reaping the benefits.

It's hoped that Kaibosh will be expanded out to Porirua and Lower Hutt in the coming months.
