'Kia Ora' comment taken to Human Rights Commission

Controversy has erupted over an email relating to the greeting Kia Ora.

The comment came from a shop owner Bonnie Rodwell to Travel New Zealand asking why they need to address their clients with the Māori greeting.

The comment has landed itself in front of the Human Rights Commission and now it's coming under attack from Māori language advocates.
