Kiwi Ferns win against Jillaroos at NRL Auckland Nines

The Kiwi Ferns team were hoping to win all 3 tests against the Jillaroos over the weekend after winning the first match on Saturday.  In the two games played yesterday, the home team managed to pull of another win before Australia pushed ahead to take the last match.

The Kiwis were strong on defence and attack, showing their dominance.

Australia defended well too, showing they were not going to give up without a fight.

Maitua Feterika was one of the stand-out players for the Kiwis this weekend, in the final match she showed why.

The scores were at zero all at half-time.

No doubt there was something that was said in the Kiwis' half-time talk, the home side scoring their first try in the first minute of the second half.

It didn't take long for the Jillaroos to come back in force, scoring two tries to win the match.

But the Kiwi Ferns already had the overall win in the bag proving women league players are just as good in New Zealand.
