Leadership up for discussion in National chambers

The National Party caucus will meet today for the first time since it was ousted from Government by Winston Peters last Thursday.

The key issue likely to be discussed will be the leadership of the party, although it is expected that Bill English will maintain his position.

Paula Bennett is also expected to remain in her post. English has been leader for only nine months when he led the party to a result similar to John Key's first victory in 2008.
