The Pamapuria couple who were shot dead have been farewelled at Te Paatu Marae in the Far North.
Carmen and Ivan Maheno died on Sunday after being shot in their home near Kaitaia.
The couple who shared two children left Te Paatu Marae today for Oturu Marae which was Carmen's home ground.
Family and friends described the couple as loving and happy.
