Manukau makes way for NRL West Tigers

Kids of the Manukau Rugby League Club are excited that they will get the chance to meet their NRL idols for the Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines.

Wests Tigers captain, Robbie Farah, looks forward to the formal Māori welcome by Manukau.  Manukau's 500-strong members are highly expected to turn out.

The competition is estimated to attract 90,000 fans over two days.

With just 5000 tickets left for sale, Duco Events have given each host club five gold tickets to give away.  The Manukau Rugby Club will hold spot prizes allowing its members the chance to get their hands on a ticket.

16 Auckland rugby league clubs have been chosen to host one of the NRL squads.

However a number of clubs missed out on hosting a team, so Manukau is extending an invitation to those clubs to join them as they host Farah and his Tigers on Thursday 13 February.
