Gallery: Māori language ATM launched at Kirikiriroa Marae

As part of a long term strategy focusing on its membership, Aotearoa Credit Union has launched a Māori language ATM at Kirikiriroa Marae in Hamilton.

In association with Te Kōhao Health a Marae based health, social services and education provider in the Waikato the ‘concept’ branch was established in an effort to get closer to its membership.

According to Aotearoa Credit Union chief executive, Anthony Wilson the partnership marks the 25th year in business for the organisation.

Anthony Wilson says, “we want the new Te Kohao branch to be part of the community.”

Te Kohao Health managing director Tureiti Moxon says her organisation is excited by the opportunity to provide financial services to more than 100 staff and 8,000 clients throughout the Waikato.

Te Kāea reporter Hone Haunui Rapana was at the launch and will have more details on this story and how the community has reacted to the initiative tonight at 5:30 and 7:00pm.
