McKenzie brothers thrive with the Chiefs

The McKenzie brothers from Ngāti Tuwharetoa & Taranaki have gone from strength to strength this season with the Chiefs.

Both Marty and younger brother Damian were snapped up by the Chiefs last year, Marty from the Blues franchise and Damian after a strong ITM Cup with Taranaki.

Damian got another start last week against top of the table Hurricanes while Marty has been continuously impressing.

There's a healthy rivalry between the brothers who live together, train together and play together at the Chiefs.

The siblings both played representative rugby in 2014 where Marty debuted with the Māori All Blacks on their end of year tour to Japan and Damian played for the U20 All Blacks.

Marty is hoping to wear the Māori All Blacks Jersey again in their short tour to Fiji and their home game against the NZ Barbarians.

First up for the brothers, is the Chiefs home clash against the Bulls at Waikato Stadium on Friday night.
