Te Kāea reporter Maiki Sherman is at Manutuke Marae with Labours Meka Whaitiri who is currently leading the race for the Ikaroa-Rāwhiti seat.
According to the early votes counted Meka Whaitiri is in the lead, followed by Mana Partys, Te Hamua Nikora and Nā Raihania of the Māori Party.
