Milner-Skudder furthers his horizon with the "Baa-baas"

All Blacks superstar, Nehe Milner-Skudder spoke exclusively with Te Kāea before he flying out to London, to fulfil another lifetime dream – to don the Barbarians jersey.

24-year-old Milner-Skudder was named as one of five New Zealand players who will run on to Twickenham, on November 21 to play an exhibition match against Argentina.

The Rugby World Cup try-scorer says, “I jumped, I thought they had the wrong number,” when questioned about how he felt when he received the call from the Barbarians side.

“To think of who has put that jersey on and what it represents – I’m excited!” proclaimed the Hurricanes speedster.

The Barbarian FC was established in 1890 through the vision and foresight of William Percy Carpmael.  The idea was to create an elite team with no home ground, clubhouse or subscription, and membership was by invitation only.

125 years later, Milner-Skudder gets his chance to join that elite club for the very first time.

Other New Zealand players who will accompany Milner-Skudder are RWC teammates, Waisake Naholo, Tawera Kerr-Barlow (Tainui), and Charlie Faumuina, as well as experienced players Ryan Crotty, Lima Sopoaga and Ardie Savea.

But there’s one player in particular Nehe is looking forward to running out onto Twickenham with.

“The big man – Nemani Nadolo.  He’s just been causing havoc this year,” he says.

It's quite the back three trio with Crusaders and Fijian international Nemani Nadolo on the left wing, All Blacks sensation Waisake Naholo on the right wing, and Nehe at fullback.

Te Kāea sports journalist, Raniera Harrison sat down with Nehe before he flew out to London for another once-in-a-lifetime moment.  That report later today at 5:30pm on Te Kāea.
