More medals for NZ in Rio

It has been yet another successful day for the New Zealand Paralympic team. Para-swimmers Sophie Pascoe and Nikita Howarth won silver and gold, respectively, in this morning's final races in Rio.

This is Pascoe's 15th Olympic medal overall, making her the most successful New Zealand Paralympian.

Pascoe finished second in the Women's 100m Freestyle S10 this morning (NZDT).

Nikita Howarth raced soon after in the Women's 200m Individual Medley SM7 thrashing her opponents by almost five seconds in a time of 2:57.29.

This is Nikita's second medal at the Rio Paralympics. Yesterday she won silver in the 100m Freestyle S10 final.

Earlier today, Ngāi Tahu flag bearer Holly Robinson claimed a silver medal in the Women's Javelin F46 throwing a personal best 41.22m

This morning's results means New Zealand now has a total of 16 medals.
