Mourners farewell Manu Samoa legend

A Tragic loss gone too soon at the age of 54.

The Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau was packed out with mourners who came to bid a final farewell to Papali'itele Peter Fatialofa an ex-player and coach of Manu Samoa.

Those in attendance heard the many stories about Fatialofa that reflected his personality as a humble, simple and very loving man.

Although he was famous on the football field as Captain of Manu Samoa, there were many other attributes he brought to the game over the years as a leader and coach.

He was living in Samoa working as head coach for Samoa rugby women's team Manu Sina preparing for Rugby World Cup 2014.

Many of those who attended the funeral were past and present famous rugby stars. They came to acknowledge and honour the many contributions Fatialofa made.
