Native Affairs - Aboriginal Community Closures

Imagine our government deciding to cut off public utilities to Te Hapua or Ruatahuna.  That's what's happening to Aboriginal communities in the outback of Western Australia.

In September last year, State and Federal Governments signed a deal, that shunted responsibility for providing essential services to remote indigenous communities from the national government to the regions in exchange for ninety million dollars.

Te Kaea reporter, Rewa Harriman is currently in Western Australia hearing from those fighting to preserve their way of life.
