At last year's General Election Willow-Jean Prime won a quarter of the vote and reduced National Party candidate, Mike Sabin's, majority by two thousand votes.
Mana candidate Reuben Taipari Porter didn't stand, but in the Northland seat Mana-Internet received 601 of a possible thirty-five thousand votes.
Prime and Porter are both contesting the by-election and join Mihingarangi Forbes in studio.
