Native Affairs - Election Wrap Up

The Election has come and gone, while blue will be the most dominant colour in the house, there'll also be a lot more brown.

The new Parliament will usher in a record 26 Māori MP's, and a record 7 Pasifika members, making this the brownest house in history.

On Election night, the closest races were run in the Māori electorates.  Ruwani Perera takes a look back at the night that served up whole lot of drama.

Also during the Native Affairs Ikaroa-Rāwhiti debate the Māori Party candidate Marama Fox described herself as the dark horse of the Election.

Words which on Saturday night turned out to be prophetic because on current polling, the Ngāti mother of 9 is set to trot right into Parliament.

Marama Fox joined Mihingarangi Forbes in studio.
