On the final leg of her Ikaroa-Rāwhiti tiki-tour, Jodi Ihaka arrives at the East Cape, particularly Te Araroa, where she met locals who live off the land and have concerns about their roads and environment in general.

Ikaroa-Rāwhiti candidates Meka Whaitiri, Te Hamua Nikora, Marama Fox and Henare Kani answer whether they have ever had to rely on their hunting and gathering skills to catch a kai for their whānau.

Also, the last two Māori Television Reid Research poll results are revealed, the first question posed to voters was:

Which political party would you vote for with your party vote?

Labour came in with 45%, National had 10%, Greens had 8%, Māori Party was at 14%, NZ First had 10%, and Internet-MANA gained 13%.

The second question was:  Which of the candidates who are standing would you vote for?

18% would vote for Marama Fox, 6% would vote Henare Kani, 37% would vote for Meka Whaitiri, and 21% would vote for Te Hamua Nikora.
