The Native Affair’s Kōwhiri 14 Māori Electorate debate special continues with the Tāmaki Makaurau candidates debating the big issues in studio with Mihingarangi Forbes.
The four leading candidates competing for the Tāmaki Makaurau electorate vote are Peeni Henare of the Labour Party, Kereama Pene of the MANA Movement, Marama Davidson of the Greens and Tunuiarangi Mclean for the Māori Party.
In her final trip round Tāmaki Makaurau, Ruwani heads out on the southern motorway, taking in the diverse and multicultural suburb of Mangere.
After speaking with voters in the area she asks;

Also in our final set of Māori Television Reid Research Poll results we asked voters, if the election was held tomorrow which of the candidates who are standing would you vote for?
Kereama Pene of the MANA Movement received 14% while Greens candidate Marama Davidson was on 7%.
While Rangi McLean and Peeni Henare are neck and neck with Rangi McLean of the Māori Party sitting at 28% and right behind him is Labour's Peeni Henare with 27%.
14% of those who participated say they don't know while 10% say they wouldn't vote for any or will not vote.
We also asked, if the election was held tomorrow, which political party would you vote for with your party vote? That is for the Political Party you most want to see in Government?
National sits at 13% while Labour holds a strong lead with 37.3% of the vote. The Māori Party is at 16.8% and the Internet MANA Movement has 12.4% while NZ First is on 10.7% and the Greens are on 9.1%.
ACT and the Conservative Party both currently sit at 0.2% and United Future sits on 0%.
