Native Affairs - Kōwhiri 14, Te Tai Tokerau Part 1

Tonight on Native Affairs Kōwhiri 14, three taniwha of Te Tai Tokerau go head-to-head and we reveal the results of our Māori Television Reid Research Poll.

Stretching from Tāmaki in the south to Te Rerenga Wairua in the north and encompassing the islands of Great Barrier and Rangitoto, Te Tai Tokerau has the highest voter turnout of the seven Māori seats.

Contesting the seat this election are, the sitting MP, Mana Movement leader Hone Harawira.  From the Labour Party, list MP Kelvin Davis and the Māori Party's Te Hira Paenga.

Native Affairs reporter Billie Jo Hohepa-Ropiha was born and bred in Te Tai Tokerau so she headed north to find out what's on voters' minds.

After speaking with members of the Te Atatu community she posed this question to the candidates, what are you going to do help this growing class of working poor?
