Native Affairs - Kōwhiri 14, Te Tai Tokerau Part 3

In the final Native Affairs – Kōwhiri 14 Māori electorate debate the candidates fighting to win the vote for Te Tai Tokerau are in studio with Mihingarangi Forbes trying to convince the electorate they are the right person to represent them in Parliament.

Internet MANA leader and current MP Hone Harawira, Labour’s Kelvin Davis and Te Hira Paenga of the Māori Party are in studio tonight.

Billie Jo Hohepa Ropiha is 218 kilometres into her Te Tai Tokerau tiki tour and she now spends some time with the small community of Moerewa. She also asked candidates what they can do to ensure the issue of regular flooding within Moerewa can get sorted?

Also our next set of poll results for the region reveal what issues, voters in the region believe to be of the highest importance.

Māori Unemployment is at 92% and Child Poverty has 94%, while Family Violence came in at 95%.

The two most important issues for Te Tai Tokerau voters are the Cost of Living which received 96% and Education is at the top of the issues of importance for the region at 97%.
