Native Affairs - Kōwhiri 14, Te Tai Tokerau Part 4

The final Native Affairs – Kōwhiri 14 Māori electorate debate is looking at Te Tai Tokerau and three of the contenders vying for the vote in the region have joined Mihingarangi Forbes in studio to put their case forward before Election day this Saturday.

Sitting MP and Internet MANA leader, Hone Harawira, Kelvin Davis of the Labour Party and Te Hira Paenga of the Māori Party are live in studio with Mihingarangi Forbes.

The next stop on Billie Jo Hohepa Ropiha's road trip takes her to a town that was once known as the hub of the north. However as you'll see in this next piece the hub has fallen on hard times.

After speaking to the locals, Billie Jo asks the candidates what ideas they have to  bring more jobs to the region?

In our next set of poll results we asked voters whether or not they agreed with the Internet MANA coalition.

While 42.8% agreed with the coalition a high amount 44.6% disagreed with the partnership, saying No they were not happy with it. 12.6% of participants don't know.
