Native Affairs - Kōwhiri 14, Waiariki Part 2

Tonight on Native Affairs - Kōwhiri 14, the three leading candidates vying for the Waiariki Electorate are in studio with Mihingarangi Forbes.

Te Ururoa Flavell from the Māori Party, Annette Sykes of the MANA Movement and Rawiri Waititi of Labour are debating the big issues and trying to convince the voters they are right people to represent their electorate in Parliament.

Semiramis Holland continues her journey through Te Waiariki and visits Kawerau to gauge some perspective as to what matters most to its residents, and asks the candidates what they can do to help the young people of Kawerau thrive in their hometown?

Also in the first of our Māori Television Reid Research Poll results for Waiariki we asked, do you think the Māori Party and the MANA Movement should work together?

66% responded 'Yes, they want the Māori Party and Mana to work together', 28.8% said 'No', while 5.2% didn't know.
