Native Affairs - Out Of Work, Out Of Luck

They're Māori who’ve fallen through the cracks. Often leaving school with little or no qualifications and living life on a benefit.

There to give these people a second chance were training providers like Te Rapunga o Poutama in central Auckland.  But after 28 years of bridging the gap between Māori and mahi the last Māori Provider in east, west, north and central Auckland will close its doors and funding for the majority of its courses will cease next year.
