Native Affairs - A Pillar Of Hope

Some call them the Invisible Children.

When a parent is locked up behind bars, the repercussions for their tamariki are enormous.  Bereft of a parent they often face a life of instability and rejection.  Many find themselves being moved from family to family while some end up in the care of Child Youth and Family.

Working to support these children is a charity that's been operating for twenty five years.  Like many volunteer groups "Pillars" struggles to make a little bit go along way, but as Billie Jo Hohepa Ropiha found, their greatest resource isn't money, it's Māori men.
