Native Affairs - A Question of Trust Part 2

The Kōhanga Reo National Trust movement has been making news for all the wrong reasons in recent weeks.  There was the failed language programme Te Tākaimatua which was rolled out to students before it was NZQA accredited.

That led to the sacking of Kōhanga CEO, Titoki Black, which started her iwi Tūhoe looking at how the Trust operates - its power structures - and how it manages its money.

They were angered by what they found - so angered they're considering splitting away from the national body.
