Native Affairs - In The Red

On Saturday night, Labour suffered its worst defeat since 1922.

After years of in-fighting and instability, Labour's party vote has been decimated to 24% leaving Labour with 5 List MPs, none of whom are Māori.

However the Māori caucus has managed to win back six of the 7 Māori seats including, Te Tai Hauāuru, Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau.

Despite the epic loss, the party faithful greeted David Cunliffe like a winner.
