Native Affairs Summer Series - Billie Jo Hohepa-Ropiha looks back at 2015

To provide viewers with an update on the stories she covered in 2015 Billie Jo Hohepa-Ropiha sat down in studio with Ward Kamo to look back at some of the most memorable stories she covered and take another look at one story of particular importance in the lead up to Waitangi Day 2016.

Like the whenua, te reo Māori is another divisive issue throughout Aotearoa.

In 2014 Finnian Galbraith spoke to a handful of his schoolmates, in a school speech competition at Kapiti College, urging them to take more care with their pronunciation of te reo Māori.

Late last year he put his speech online and the response had been amazing with more than 250 thousand views.
