New Māori law firm specifically catering for Māori clients opens

Today the Minister of Māori Affairs, Dr Pita Sharples, opened a new Māori law firm specifically set up for Māori clients, however it won't be relying on the Treaty gravy train to keep it afloat.

Enterprise Law are specialists in resource management, intellectual property and commercial matters, both here and offshore.

Their main aim is to assist in the sustainable development of te ao Māori.

Dr Sharples told Te Kāea today, "Kōhanga and kura kaupapa have been set up, now it's time to establish ourselves in business and government and so on, whilst maintaining our cultural integrity, and this firm is part and parcel of that."
