Ngāpuhi twins added to Kiwi Ferns squad

The Kiwi Ferns have been lucky enough to have a set of Ngāpuhi twins added to their squad.

Sharnita and Shontelle Woodman were named in the squad this year and just recently Te Kāea met the duo who are ecstatic about playing together at this level for the very first time.

This year was the very first year a set of twins has made the Kiwi Ferns squad.  Sharnita isn't new to the squad, however, sister Shontelle is.

Training together has been a challenge for the pair, but they're more than eager to play against Australia early next month.

Some of these ladies have been playing alongside one another in their provincial teams for more than 10 years, so for them it's just like being in one big family.

They've both thought about their own personal goals for the game ahead, and those yet to come in the future.

The many skills possessed by the Woodman twins will no doubt help their team to victory.
