Kaitlin was mentored by IFBB bikini Pro-Bodybuilder Myra Rogers, Rogers understands what it's like to stand on stage for the first time, she has just returned home from competition in the Mr Olympia. Michal adds Kaitlin's Kickboxing husband, Daniel Bruce of Smack Gym, South Auckland has played a key role in his wife's training.

Kaitlin was one of 142 athletes to compete, this is the largest number of competitors to take to the stage at Hamilton Boys High School. Kaitlin placed first in the Novice women's bikini short, she now has her sights set on the NZIFBB Pro/Am in March, 2017.
