NZ film Born To Dance to hit screens in September

The country is eagerly anticipating the release of New Zealand’s first multi-million dollar dance film Born To Dance, which hits cinemas nationwide on September 24th.

Alongside the release of the film will also be the official movie soundtrack curated by P-money. That will come out a week earlier on September 18.

The soundtrack includes Stan Walker's brand new single 'Start Again' featuring Samantha Jade and is available now on Itunes.

The dancing is choreographed by world champion dancer, Paris Goebel. She has worked with world class acts such as Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj.

Born to Dance highlights the talent present in New Zealand, featuring some of the very best hip-hop dancers in the world, as well as our very own Stan Walker.

The film follows Tū Kāea, played by Tia-Taharoa Maipi, a young man from Papakura who will do whatever it takes to realise his dream of becoming a professional hip-hop dancer.

The film's director, Tammy Davis says "Born To Dance is about a young boy trying to fulfill his dreams, but it's also a story about love and being challenged to be the best you can be."
